Although Cleveland fans/blogs harp on his lack of defense, he's put up good numbers this year and would be a great backup for Thompson next year.

Also - I watched all of the wizards/cavs series and yeah it was basically Lebron vs. Arenas and you know who wins that battle.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01307496314789130117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2573810854852444729.post-40497654915442575902012-03-26T07:05:16.861-07:002012-03-26T07:05:16.861-07:00Honestly I didn't think that hard about it. And Haywood played more minutes than Chandler in 11 additional games, not including the starts. When Haywood started he averaged 9 boards and 2.25 blocks. Point is Haywood was a solid contributing center. So check your stats before attempting to lead with some profound, stand alone sentence belittling this guy.

You went from doubting Lebron as the obstacle for advancing to affirming he was pretty quickly there. Your best case scenario for them, Game 6 in Eastern conference semifinals, is at the very least 10 games into the playoffs; I'd consider that deep.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2573810854852444729.post-24815345588303277492012-03-26T00:19:37.515-07:002012-03-26T00:19:37.515-07:00Tyson Chandler started for the world champion Mave...Tyson Chandler started for the world champion Mavericks. Not Haywood.

And no, bench wasn't great. Neither was the centers. LeBron was a major reason, and maybe even the main reason. But I'm not sure those Wizards teams were built for deep runs into the playoffs. Bench wasn't great (Jarred Jeffries, DeShawn Stevenson, Roger Mason at various stages in 3 year period) but to put any other factor above Lebron as the reason why those Wizards never advanced is crazy.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2573810854852444729.post-56958974721292376362012-03-25T23:30:15.865-07:002012-03-25T23:30:15.865-07:00Yeah. But was LeBron really the reason those Wizards teams never advanced? I seem to remember those being like 4 vs 5 matchups. I think your lack of a center and/or a bench really hurt.Jacob Greenberghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15572708978569132806noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2573810854852444729.post-37494087922174734102012-03-25T21:39:47.063-07:002012-03-25T21:39:47.063-07:00I remember how well Jamison and Arenas used to pla...I remember how well Jamison and Arenas used to play off each other in DC. Both GSW products. They ran into Lebron's Cavs three years straight in the first round. Arenas was a straight-up superstar for about a three year period there. Jamison a great second scorer. If it wasn't for Lebron there would've been some deep playoff runs and we'd be having a different conversation about these two.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
